Gukin's flagship overseas education volunteering program. Every July and August, about 100 Gukin members are dispatched to Korean and Hangul schools in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Shizuoka, running Korean language education, Korean culture experiences, career and university-admission mentoring, subject tutoring, and English-only classrooms for Korean-Japanese and local students.
The goal is to communicate with Korean-Japanese students in Korean while nurturing their pride as Koreans, share career information with students preparing for Korean university admission, and build a foundation for Korea-Japan civic exchange through ties with the overseas Korean community. Mentors and students grow together under the values of communication, growth, and contribution.
